Privacy Policy

FitRush is a marketplace that connects clients with personal trainers for in-person and live fitness sessions. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we share it, and your choices. By using the FitRush app, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

You provide:

Account info — name, email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider, never in plain text), and account role (client or trainer).
Profile info — profile photo, and for trainers: bio, specialties, certifications, rates, service locations, and availability.
Payment info — payment-card and payout details, collected and processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers.
Messages — content of chats you send to other users. Contact information and certain prohibited content are automatically redacted before delivery.

Collected automatically:

Location — with your permission, your approximate or precise location is used to find nearby trainers and, for trainers who go "Live," to show nearby clients your availability. Used only while the app is in use; we do not track you in the background.
App activity — bookings, sessions, reviews, and feature interactions, used to provide and improve the service.
Device & push tokens — a push-notification token so we can send session reminders and alerts.

2. How we use your information

Create and manage your account; authenticate you.
Match clients with trainers and surface nearby, available trainers.
Process bookings, payments, and trainer payouts.
Enable in-app messaging between clients and trainers.
Send transactional notifications (confirmations, session reminders, slot-availability alerts, messages).
Maintain trust and safety (review moderation, redaction of contact info and inappropriate language, abuse detection).
Provide support, improve the app, and comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service:

Other users — your profile is visible to users you transact with; trainer profiles are discoverable by clients.
Service providers (processors): Stripe (payments/payouts — privacy), Supabase (database, auth, backend), Google Firebase / Google Cloud (push notifications and maps), Apple / Google (sign-in and app distribution).
Legal — when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect users and the public.

4. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal requirements. You can request deletion of your account and personal data anytime in the app or by emailing ceofitrush@gmail.com. Some records (e.g., transaction history) may be retained where required by law.

5. Security

We protect your data with industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

6. Your rights and choices

Access / correction / deletion — request via the app or ceofitrush@gmail.com.
Location — deny or revoke permission in device settings; nearby discovery and Live will be limited.
Notifications — disable push notifications in device settings.
California (CCPA/CPRA) & EU/UK (GDPR) — you may have additional rights to access, delete, correct, and restrict processing. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Contact ceofitrush@gmail.com to exercise any right.

7. Children's privacy

FitRush is intended for users 18 and older (it involves payments). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. International users

We are based in the United States and process data there. If you use the app from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the U.S.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy and will post the revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
